We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, sufficient, and authoritative Word of God, breathed out by God and given through the Holy Spirit. As 2 Timothy 3:16–17 declares:

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

The Scriptures are the final and supreme authority for faith, doctrine, life, and practice, revealing God’s character, His will, His promises, and His redemptive plan for humanity. As Psalm 19:7 says:

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.”

We believe the Word of God is living, active, and powerful. Hebrews 4:12 declares:

“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.”

Therefore, we submit every belief, tradition, and practice to the authority of Scripture, allowing Scripture to interpret Scripture and the Holy Spirit to illuminate its truth to our hearts. Jesus said in John 16:13: “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth.”

We do not believe the Bible merely contains truth—we believe it is truth, trustworthy and enduring in all it teaches, and fully sufficient for knowing God, walking in holiness, and equipping the believer for every good work.

We believe that all spiritual, doctrinal, and practical matters must be discerned through the full counsel of God—the unified testimony of all Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. As Acts 20:27 declares:

“I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole counsel of God.”

We do not build doctrine, theology, or practice on isolated verses, personal opinion, emotional experience, or cultural trends, but by faithfully examining the entirety of God’s Word. As Psalm 119:160 says:

“The sum of your word is truth.”

We believe Scripture interprets Scripture, and that the Old and New Testaments together reveal God’s consistent character, His redemptive plan, and His purposes for humanity. Jesus Himself, beginning with Moses and the Prophets, interpreted “in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself” (Luke 24:27).

Because all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we believe the whole counsel of God must shape our doctrine, worldview, worship, ethics, discipleship, and daily living. Jesus declared in Matthew 4:4:

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

By seeking the full counsel of God, we pursue wisdom that is biblically grounded, spiritually balanced, historically rooted, and faithful to the heart of God. We desire to handle the Word with humility, reverence, and obedience—allowing truth to form us rather than shaping truth around ourselves.

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—each fully and equally God, co-eternal, co-equal, and perfectly united in essence, nature, glory, and purpose. As Deuteronomy 6:4 declares:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”

Though God is one in being, He has eternally revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father—yet each Person is fully God, sharing the same divine essence without division, confusion, or contradiction.

From the beginning of Scripture, we see both the unity and plurality of God revealed. In Genesis 1:26, God said:

“Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.”

We believe this points to the triune nature of God progressively revealed throughout Scripture.

We believe the Father is the eternal source and sustainer of all things. As 1 Corinthians 8:6 says:

“Yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist.”

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Word made flesh, fully God and fully man. John 1:1,14 declares:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

Hebrews also reveals the divine nature and supremacy of the Son. Hebrews 1:1–3 declares:

“In these last days he has spoken to us by his Son… through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.”

And in Hebrews 1:8, the Father says of the Son:

“Your throne, O God, is forever and ever.”

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, proceeding from the Father and sent by the Son, dwelling within and empowering believers. Jesus said in John 14:16–17:

“I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever… the Spirit of truth.”

We also see the distinct Persons of the Trinity revealed simultaneously at the baptism of Jesus. In Matthew 3:16–17, Jesus stood in the water, the Holy Spirit descended like a dove, and the Father spoke from heaven:

“And when Jesus was baptized… he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove… and behold, a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.’”

This reveals the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit operating distinctly yet perfectly united together.

The triune God has eternally existed in perfect love, unity, holiness, and glory. God is holy (Isaiah 6:3), loving (1 John 4:8), sovereign (Psalm 103:19), eternal, and unchanging. As Malachi 3:6 declares:

“For I the Lord do not change.”

All things were created by Him, sustained through Him, and exist for His glory. As Romans 11:36 proclaims:

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.”

We reject all teachings that deny the full deity of the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit, or that distort the biblical revelation of the Trinity. The doctrine of the Trinity is not a human invention, but the revealed truth of Scripture and central to the Christian faith, worship, salvation, and understanding of who God is.

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, the radiance of the glory of God and the only Savior of the world. As John 1:1,14 declares:

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”

And Colossians 2:9 proclaims:

“For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.”

We believe Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary according to the Scriptures. As Luke 1:35 says:

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you… therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.”

He lived a completely sinless and perfect life, fully obedient to the Father in every way. Hebrews 4:15 declares:

“One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”

Jesus proclaimed the Kingdom of God, preached repentance and salvation, healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, and revealed the heart and nature of the Father. Jesus said in John 14:9:

“Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.”

We believe Jesus willingly laid down His life on the cross as the perfect and final sacrifice for sin. As 1 Peter 2:24 declares:

“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree.”

On the third day, Jesus rose bodily from the grave, defeating sin, death, and the power of the enemy forever. As 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 declares:

“Christ died for our sins… he was buried… he was raised on the third day.”

After His resurrection, He ascended bodily into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Acts 1:9–11 says:

“He was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight.”

Even now, Jesus reigns as Lord, Head of the Church, High Priest, and Advocate for His people, continually interceding for believers. As Romans 8:34 declares:

“Christ Jesus… is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.”

We believe Jesus Christ will return personally, visibly, and in glory to judge the living and the dead, establish His everlasting Kingdom, and reign forever. He alone is King of kings and Lord of lords, and every knee will bow before Him.

We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. As Ephesians 2:8–9 declares:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith… it is the gift of God, not a result of works.”

Humanity is fallen, sinful, and unable to save itself apart from the mercy of God. Scripture declares in Romans 3:23:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

And Psalm 51:5 says:

“Surely I was sinful at birth.”

Because of sin, humanity stands separated from God and under judgment, unable to attain righteousness through works, religion, or human effort. Yet in His love and mercy, God sent His Son Jesus Christ to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins.

We believe that through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, and eternal life are freely offered to all who repent and believe in Him. As Romans 5:1 declares:

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Salvation is not merely forgiveness of sins, but the complete work of God in making us new. We believe believers are regenerated by the Holy Spirit, born again into new life, and sealed by God as His own people. As Titus 3:5 says:

“He saved us… by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”

We believe those who are in Christ are adopted into the family of God as sons and daughters. Galatians 4:6–7 declares:

“God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’ So you are no longer a slave, but a son.”

Through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, believers are transformed into the image of Christ. As 2 Corinthians 3:18 says:

“We are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another.”

We believe true saving faith produces repentance, obedience, perseverance, and a growing pursuit of holiness. Salvation is not earned by works, but genuine faith results in a transformed life. As James 2:17 declares:

“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”

And Titus 2:11–12 says:

“The grace of God has appeared… training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions.”

We believe salvation is entirely the work of God’s grace, received by faith, centered in Christ, empowered by the Spirit, and lived out in a life devoted to Jesus Christ.

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, the third Person of the Trinity, sent by the Father and the Son to dwell within, empower, sanctify, and lead the believer. Jesus called Him the Helper, the Spirit of truth, who remains with God’s people forever. As John 14:16–17 declares:

“He will give you another Helper, to be with you forever… the Spirit of truth.”

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation as the seal and guarantee of our inheritance in Christ. As Ephesians 1:13–14 says:

“When you heard the word of truth… and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. As John 16:8 declares:

“And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment.”

We believe the Spirit brings regeneration and new birth, making believers alive in Christ. Jesus said in John 3:5:

“Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

The Holy Spirit sanctifies believers, conforms them into the image of Christ, and leads them into holy living and obedience. As Romans 8:14 says:

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

We believe the Holy Spirit empowers the Church for bold witness, ministry, prayer, worship, and the advancement of the Gospel. Jesus declared in Acts 1:8:

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses.”

The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ according to His will. We believe these gifts are to operate in love, humility, order, and submission to Scripture for the strengthening and edification of the Church.

We also believe the fruit of the Spirit should be evident in the life of every believer. As Galatians 5:22–23 declares:

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”

The Holy Spirit illuminates the Scriptures, glorifies Jesus Christ, guides believers into truth, and continually points the Church toward obedience and intimacy with God. As John 14:26 says:

“He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

We depend upon the Holy Spirit daily for godliness, wisdom, discernment, transformation, endurance, and power to faithfully live as witnesses of Jesus Christ in the world.

We believe the Church is the people of God, not merely a building, institution, or weekly gathering. As 1 Peter 2:9 declares:

“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession.”

The Church is the Body of Christ, the family of God, and the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit on the earth. We believe every believer is a vital part of the Body, called to worship, serve, love, encourage, and build one another up in Christ.

Scripture describes the Church as a spiritual household joined together in Christ. As Ephesians 2:19–22 says:

“You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God… being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.”

We believe the early Church modeled a Spirit-filled, relational, and disciple-making community centered on Jesus. Acts 2:42–47 declares:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers… and the Lord added to their number day by day.”

The early believers gathered in homes, shared meals, prayed continually, practiced generosity, worshiped together, and lived on mission as spiritual family. We affirm these biblical rhythms as a healthy and powerful expression of New Testament church life today.

We believe every believer has been given gifts by the Holy Spirit for the strengthening of the Church. As 1 Corinthians 14:26 says:

“Let all things be done for building up.”

Therefore, we encourage participatory, Spirit-led gatherings where believers are equipped, encouraged, discipled, and empowered to minister to one another.

We also believe the Church, while one Body, may express itself through different models, gatherings, and structures under the lordship of Jesus Christ. Whether in homes, congregations, networks, ministries, or larger assemblies, the mission remains the same: to glorify Jesus Christ, preach the Gospel, make disciples, equip the saints, and advance the Kingdom of God.

As Ephesians 4:11–13 declares:

“To equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.”

We believe unity in the Spirit allows for diversity in expression, and we joyfully recognize all biblically faithful, Christ-centered churches as part of the global Body of Christ. Our desire is to see the Church strengthened, purified, Spirit-filled, and mobilized until the knowledge of the glory of the Lord fills the earth.

We believe every follower of Jesus Christ is called to be a disciple who makes disciples. Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19–20:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

Discipleship is not merely a class, program, or transfer of information—it is a lifelong journey of following Jesus, being transformed into His likeness, and helping others do the same. We believe a disciple is one who abides in Christ, obeys His Word, walks in the power of the Holy Spirit, and increasingly reflects the character and life of Jesus.

As 1 John 2:6 declares:

“Whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”

And Jesus said in Luke 9:23:

“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.”

We believe discipleship happens through intentional, relational, and reproducible rhythms modeled by Jesus and the early Church—sharing life together, studying Scripture, praying, worshiping, serving, confessing sin, encouraging one another, and living on mission together. True discipleship involves both spiritual formation and practical obedience, leading believers into maturity, holiness, love, and faithfulness.

We are committed to equipping and multiplying disciples, leaders, and healthy expressions of the Church. As 2 Timothy 2:2 declares:

“What you have heard from me… entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”

Our desire is not simply to gather crowds, but to raise mature disciples who know Jesus deeply, obey Him fully, make disciples faithfully, and live as ambassadors of His Kingdom in every sphere of life. As Colossians 1:28 says:

“Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.”

We believe in baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith and union with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. As Romans 6:3–4 teaches:

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death… we too might walk in newness of life.”

Baptism is an outward expression of repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, symbolizing new life in Him. We baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit according to the command of Jesus in Matthew 28:19:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

We believe baptism does not save, but is an act of obedience flowing from salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8–9). Because baptism belongs to the whole Body of Christ, we believe it may be carried out by faithful believers within the gathered church community and is not limited to a specific clergy class.

We believe Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is a continual practice of remembering Christ’s sacrifice and proclaiming His death until He comes again. Jesus said in 1 Corinthians 11:24–25:

“Do this in remembrance of me.”

And Scripture declares in 1 Corinthians 11:26:

“For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”

Communion is a shared covenant meal for believers to remember Christ together in worship, unity, repentance, and thanksgiving. The early church devoted themselves to “the breaking of bread” (Acts 2:42) and practiced it “in their homes” (Acts 2:46). Therefore, we do not believe Communion must only be administered by ordained clergy, but joyfully practice it within the gathered body as a “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9).

We believe every follower of Jesus is called to live on mission—reflecting His love, proclaiming His Gospel, and advancing His Kingdom in everyday life. Jesus declared in Matthew 5:14–16:

“You are the light of the world… let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

The mission of God is not reserved for a select few professionals, but is the calling of the entire Church. Every believer has been sent as a witness of Jesus Christ into their homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and communities. As 2 Corinthians 5:20 says:

“Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.”

Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we are called to preach the Gospel, make disciples, serve the hurting, care for the poor, pray for the sick, confront darkness with truth and love, and demonstrate the reality of the Kingdom of God wherever we go.

We believe the Great Commission remains the mandate of the Church. Jesus commanded in Matthew 28:19–20:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations… teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”

Therefore, we are committed not merely to gathering believers, but to raising up disciples who make disciples, leaders who equip others, and churches that multiply for the glory of Jesus Christ. Until every nation hears, we desire to live with urgency, faithfulness, compassion, and boldness—carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the blessed hope—the personal, visible, bodily, and triumphant return of Jesus Christ. As Titus 2:13 declares:

“Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Through His death and resurrection, Jesus Christ has already conquered sin, death, and the power of Satan. Yet at His return, He will bring His victory to its full and final completion, judge the living and the dead, establish His everlasting Kingdom, and fully remove all evil forever. Scripture declares in Acts 17:31:

“He has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed.”

We believe Christ will fully and finally cast away every power of darkness and rebellion against God. As Revelation 20:10 proclaims:

“The devil… was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur.”

Creation itself will be restored, and all things will be made new. As written in Revelation 21:4–5:

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more… Behold, I am making all things new.”

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, eternal life for those who belong to Christ, and the eternal dwelling of God with His people forever. The return of Jesus is not merely a doctrine to study, but a living hope that calls the Church to holiness, endurance, faithfulness, worship, and urgency in the mission of God. Until He comes, we seek to remain watchful, Spirit-filled, and devoted to Christ, longing for the day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

We joyfully affirm the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed as faithful summaries of essential Christian doctrine and historic expressions of the Christian faith. We believe these creeds help preserve and proclaim the core truths handed down through the generations concerning the Trinity, the deity of Christ, salvation, and the Gospel.

As Jude 1:3 exhorts believers to:

“Contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints,”

and 2 Timothy 1:13–14 declares:

“Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me… Guard the good deposit entrusted to you.”

We embrace these historic confessions as helpful guardrails that keep us rooted in biblical truth and connected to the historic, global Church. While we honor the wisdom and witness of the early Church, we believe Scripture alone is the final and highest authority for faith, doctrine, and practice. The creeds do not replace or stand above the Word of God, but faithfully point us back to it.

At Mosaic Church, we are a people being formed by God—not just in what we believe, but in how we live. We desire to be a Spirit-led family centered on Jesus, rooted in Scripture, devoted to prayer, committed to discipleship, and sent on mission together.

We are a people devoted to the Word of God.

God’s Word is our foundation.

It shapes our lives, forms our doctrine, directs our decisions, and anchors us in truth. We believe the Bible is our final authority for faith, doctrine, and daily living. We do not merely hear the Word—we seek to obey it, teach it faithfully, and build our lives upon it.

We are a people surrendered to the Spirit of God.

(Galatians 5:25; Romans 8:14)

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

We do not rely on human strength, personality, or programs alone. We depend on the Holy Spirit to lead, convict, empower, sanctify, and guide us. We desire to be a people marked by prayer, holiness, humility, bold witness, spiritual maturity, and obedience to the voice of God.

We are a people living as family on mission.

(Acts 2:44–47; Matthew 28:19–20)

We believe the Church is more than a service to attend—it is a spiritual family to belong to. We share life together through meals, prayer, discipleship, generosity, encouragement, and gospel mission. We seek to embody the relational life of the early church, loving one another deeply while carrying the Gospel into our neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.

We are a people who make disciples.

(2 Timothy 2:2; Luke 9:23)

We believe every believer is called to follow Jesus and help others follow Him. Discipleship is not merely information transfer, but a transformed life shaped by obedience, Scripture, prayer, community, and mission. We seek to raise mature disciples who disciple others and reproduce healthy expressions of the Church.

We are a people who equip and multiply leaders and churches.

(Ephesians 4:11–13; Acts 1:8)

We believe God calls and equips ordinary believers for ministry and leadership. We embrace the priesthood of all believers and desire to raise up healthy leaders, disciples, micro-churches, ministries, and church expressions that multiply for the glory of Jesus. Whether gathered in homes, communities, or larger assemblies, our desire is to see the Gospel advance and Christ formed in people everywhere.

We are a people pursuing the presence of Jesus.

(Psalm 27:4; John 15:5)

Above all, we desire Jesus Himself. We believe true ministry flows from intimacy with God. We pursue His presence through worship, prayer, communion, repentance, and abiding in Christ. Our goal is not simply to build gatherings, but to become a people who reflect the character, love, holiness, and power of Jesus in everyday life.
